Manitoba is a province of Canada west of Ontario and east of Saskatchewan. To the north is the territory of Nunavit and the great Hudson Bay, and to the south are the United States of North Dakota and Minnesota. There are 1,113,898 people living there. It's largest city and capital is Winnipeg, nicknamed "Winterpeg." 667,209 people live in Winnipeg.

Manitoba is 761 miles, or 1225 km from north to south, and 493 miles (793 km) wide at it's widest point. The total area is roughly 251 thousand square miles.

The State Flag is the Red Ensign. The State bird is the Great Grey Owl. The White Spruce is the official tree. Manitoba has an official tartan pattern as registered in Scotland.

The average temperatures range from a chilly -26.9C in January in Churchill to a balmy 18.7C in Brandon in July. The temperature inside the Winnipeg mall is always 23C.
