THE MAN OF RODDY McFODDERWINK
The Legend of Roddy McFodderwink
Little is known about Roddy McFodderwink. Born sometime between 1925 and 1937, he lived his entire life outside Manitoba Beach, Manitoba, until his sudden, unexpected disapperance in the late 1990's.

According to public records, Roddy's parents were Martin (Martina?) and Bethelwood McFodderwink. There's a bit of contriversy as to who was the mother and who was the father, as neighbors who knew of these two said that often both would be seen wearing the long, cotton dresses of the Canadian prairie settlers.

Receiving almost no education, Roddy spent his idyllic childhood around his parent's beet farm, playing with stray cats, and coming up with rhymes for the "Rhinocerous." After attending six years of school, as he put it in his quizical journals, he "picked up a hoe and never learned back."

His house was found deserted in May of 1999. The only note he left behind, besides his thousands of tapes and journal entries, was a post-it taped to the fridge reading: "Please fed the cats."

His where-abouts are still unknown.
