Manitoban Exploitation, Inc.Founded in 1999, Manitoban Exploitation, Inc. is a bond-based semi-public (and fictional... ssh!) corporation consisting of the banks, townfolk, and neighbors of Roddy McFodderwink. When McFodderwink skipped town some time in the late 1990's, he owed various parties nearly C$487,000 (about US$35).The meager financial holdings (5 shares of Alaskan Airlines), and the poor real estate (4,000 acres of beets, a house, and half a barn) were not nearly enough to repay all of McFodderwink's financial debts. When the creditors went through his personal belongings, they found tape after tape that McFodderwink had made. So they came upon an idea. In an effort to recoup some of these losses, the townspeople and banks together formed the MEI corporation in an effort to sell off all the remaining assets of McFodderwink. Hence this web site -- it is entirely funded by the MEI and it's CEO. Wisely realizing that selling McFodderwink tapes would be a crime against humanity, the MEI schemed to "give" the songs away for free on the Internet. Then, perhaps, enough interest would develop that, one day, someone might actually buy a McFodderwink CD or t-shirt. That person could be you! Send complaints to: the CEO.
