Poutine
Tuesday, May 27th, 2008
Poutine is arguably the national dish of Quebec, and although it sounds like a French whore, it actually evokes a special feeling in the hearts of Quebecers and Quebecois everywhere.
For me, unfortunately, the feeling it evoked was nausea. This is a disgusting dish, made of french fries covered with brown gravy, chicken, peas, and cheese curds. You can also get variants with spaghetti sauce and/or hamburger meat. After three bites of this, my gravy threshold was already abnormally overreached. And this place, Le Temps De Perdu, labeled itself “Le Roi De Poutine!”
